Welcome to the home page of the South Coast California Airstream Club of the WBCCI, serving residents of Orange, Los Angeles, Riverside, San Bernardino, and San Diego Counties.

The South Coast California Airstream Club is a group of fun-loving Airstream owners passionate about socializing, camping and seeking out adventure. Most of our members live in the Southern California area, so our rallies are primarily held locally, spanning weekends to accommodate our working members.

Rally activities range from puzzling, reading, bicycling, wine tasting, taking group walks, or just relaxing.  It is fun to see the young kids growing up and enjoying camping with their families, and quite often, we know the names of the dogs more often than we know the names of our members!  Our experienced members are happy to share their knowledge about Airstreams from organizing space, improving performance, and handling routine maintenance.  Come join us for a rally or two and see what the fun is all about.

If you have any questions, you can reach us via email via the Contact page. You can read our Constitution and Bylaws here.

While you’re here, please feel free to check out our newsletters and blog. We try to keep it up-to-date with stories, photos, and other tidbits from our rallies and caravans!

South Coast California Airstream Club History

The South Coast Unit became part of the Wally Byam Caravan Club International in 1968.  The name was changed in 2019 to the South Coast California Airstream Club.

The Airstream Trailer was developed by a gentleman named Wally Byam. This effort began in 1931 and the Airstream trailers you see on the road today have built on the first efforts. The design is unique in many ways and it gives the RVing public a trailer that continues to thrive on the highways and byways throughout the United States and Canada. Many older rigs are still in constant use. Mr. Byam included in each rig the capability for sustained use for long periods and he personally led caravans in the US, Canada, Central America, and Africa. The WBCCI itself was named to honor Mr. Byam for his innovation and leadership in giving we that have followed him the Airstream way of life.
